Ken Harbison founded ITalk in 1986, and after retiring in 2016 Angel Harbison became President, making ITalk a WOSB, (Women Owned Small Business). With more than 100 years of combined experience in the design, installation, and service of both voice and data communications. ITalk was founded based upon the principle that service is the most important factor that drives the success of an interconnect company, ITalk initially focused on contracting its services to AT&T equipment users, for the servicing of their AT&T PBX and Key telephone equipment.

The Company continued to demonstrate to customers that they could receive cost effective technical expertise on their equipment. As a result ITalk's customer base increased substantially. Many satisfied customers expressed a desire to upgrade their systems to full featured digital equipment. After extensive research in available products, ITalk chose to become an authorized dealer for Toshiba, a recognized leader in the voice and data communications field. The company's staff of certified technician's is equipped to service a wide variety of Key, PBX, and Voice mail systems from selected major manufacturers.

With the eruption of computer LAN and WAN networks in the business environment, ITalk has also pursued opportunities in the data connectivity and Fiber Optics fields. ITalk is proudly one of the few companies that have the technical expertise to design and install Fiber Optics, and continues to be in stride with emerging technologies such as VoIP (Voice-over-Internet Protocol), Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) and others that will shape business communications in the future.
